Course Relocation Notice

The Dragonfly Disc Golf Course, currently located behind the Morrisville Police Department at 280 Town Hall Drive, will be relocating on Monday, Nov. 3. The transition is expected to take approximately three days. Once complete, the course will reopen at its new location: 240 Town Hall Drive.

The Dragonfly Disc Golf Course

The Town of Morrisville offers a 9-hole disc golf course, located at 240 Town Hall Drive.

How to Play

  • Disc golf is played like ball golf, but you throw a flying disc instead of hitting a ball with a club. One point is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The object is to acquire the lowest score.

  • Tee throws must be completed within or behind the designated tee area.

  • Players should not disturb plants, trees, or wildlife. Any disc that comes to rest more than six feet above the ground is considered unplayable. After declaring an unplayable lie, the disc must be thrown from the new lie on the ground, directly underneath the unplayable lie (and will incur a 1-point throw penalty).

  • After the tee-off, the player whose disc is farthest from the hole always throws first. The player with the least amount of throws on the previous hole is the first to tee-off on the next hole.

  • After the tee-off, the thrown disc must be left where it came to rest until a marker disc (or object) is placed on the playing surface between the hole and the disc, directly in line with the hole, touching the thrown disc.

  • With 10 yards of the pole, a player may not step past the point of his or her lie in making their putt. Falling or jumping is not allowed. If a disc comes to rest in, not on top of, the pole hole basket, that constitutes successful completion of that hole.

  • Out of Bounds (OB) = all roads, parking lots, the cemetery, and other designated areas

Course Courtesy and Etiquette

  • Be aware of others. Respect the rights of other park visitors walking through the course to not be hit by flying discs.

  • Respect other players. Wait to throw until all players have cleared the hole. Do not throw when another player is in front of you or not looking. (On holes three and six, the higher hole has the right of way if necessary.)

  • Please limit groups to four players, if possible.

  • Faster players should be allowed to play through.

  • Pack-out all trash, and please pick up any litter you may see.

  • Enjoy!
