Minor League Cricket

Church Street Park (5817 Cricket Pitch Way) hosted several Minor League Cricket matches, including the Super 8 Championship games September 30 through October 6. For more information visit Minor League Cricket's website.

Major League Cricket

The Town of Morrisville hosted Cognizant Major League Cricket from July 5-17, 2024 at Church Street Park (5817 Cricket Pitch Way). Morrisville was one of only two hosts for the Major League Cricket games in the United States in July 2024. Matches included Seattle Orcas, MI New York, Washington Freedom, Texas Super Kings, San Francisco Unicorns and Los Angeles Knight Riders. Championship games were played in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Church Street Park was renovated in 2023 in anticipation of the games. The park now has:

  • An expanded capacity of 3,500, including grandstand bleachers
  • New broadcast infrastructure to televise matches, including an elevated commentary booth and camera platforms
  • Additional cricket pitch lanes
  • LED-lit practice pitches and nets
  • Athlete seating
  • Safety netting

Professional Cricket at Church Street Park

In 2018, the Town of Morrisville hosted its first international cricket matches at Church Street Park as part of the ICC Americas Sub Regional T20 World Cup Qualifier. This tournament included the national men's teams from Belize, Canada, Panama, and the United States. It was an exciting week of world-class cricket right here in Morrisville.

Based on the success of that tournament, the Town continued to work with USA Cricket through the pandemic to build a working relationship, including hosting training activities for both the USA Women's and Men's teams.

In 2021, Morrisville was a big part of the first professional cricket league in the country, Minor League Cricket. Church Street Park was the home field for the Morrisville team and the host site for the first national championships for Minor League Cricket in October. In 2022, Morrisville again hosted a home team and the national championships playoff weekend.
