Long Range Planning and Studies
Long Range Planning involves developing plans, policies, and programs designed to guide the development in the Town, while considering various factors such as local demographics and preservation of Morrisville’s history. Specifically, long range planning develops, maintains, and implements a coordinated, comprehensive plan for the Town that balances a variety of stakeholder needs, seeks funding opportunities to implement the goals of the plan, prepares population estimates, and participates in regional planning initiatives.
Comprehensive Plan
The Comprehensive Plan is comprised of plans and policies adopted by Town Council to address Morrisville’s growth and development—including, but not limited to, the Land Use Plan, the Transportation Plan, the Wireless Telecommunication Facilities Master Plan, and other small area plans that provide guidance on desired development in specific geographic areas and corridors, as well as the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and other plans related to public infrastructure and services.
